ABOUT THIS GRANT

This grant allows the opportunity for an individual working in an Australian university in a role directly or indirectly connected with student mobility to attend either APAIE, NAFSA or EAIE.  The successful nominee is required to assist with the AUIDF activities including the set-up and management of the Australia Pavilion and the coordination of the Australian Universities Reception at the designated conference.  This person is required work closely with the AUIDF Executive Officer and the relevant AUIDF Working Group to ensure objectives and timelines are met.  There is also the opportunity for the successful nominee to spend a few hours per day engaged in his or her own universities activities at the conference.   These grants are offered annually and nominations forms with further details and deadlines are circulated to AUIDF members in advance.

The AUIDF covers an economy airfare, accommodation and registration costs for the successful nominee, other expenses such as salary, meals and incidentals need to be covered by the home university. 

CRITERIA

  • Employed in an Australian university in a role directly or indirectly connected with student mobility

  • Availability for travel as indicated above

DESIRABLE CRITERIA

  • Experience in event management

  • Nominee has not attended a previous APAIE, NAFSA or EAIE conference

Nominations may be made by the nominee or by a person who is familiar with their work. Nominees must be employed in an Australian University. The nomination must include: 

  • A brief overview of the individuals’ current role

  • A statement from the nominee, as to how this will benefit their current role if successful

  • One references in support of the nomination

  • Copy of CV
